i just finished watching a playthrough of the last of us on youtube, not because i had never seen the game before, i've watched gameplays from other youtubers countless times, but i watched it once more to relive the experience of playing it and going through that amazing journey for the first time again, through the reactions and eyes of yet another youtuber playing the game. Sometimes when i'm bored or with nothing better to watch, i look up on youtube gameplay playlists of the last of us, to find another youtuber i haven't watched their gameplay of the last of us or another interesting/good game, and then i watch their gameplay, if i haven't yet. The last of us is such an amazing experience that i always love to relive, they put so much heart into the story of this game, and they not only take you through a thrilling adventure with the main characters, but they also develop these characters so well, to the point where you feel like you really know them and care for them. The character development they have throughout the game is amazing, and that ending... the whole game, specially the ending, shows how flawed humans are, and that not even a "hero" is always right or doing the right thing, sometimes we just do what we can and try to do anything to save those we love and care for. It's always amazing to watch this amazing story again and see how different people react differently to the same story, and also their commentary, it also adds another layer of substance to that story that i've seen dozens of times, but it still doesn't cease to amaze me.
