My wife and I got our house twenty years ago , and when I was in the basement two weeks ago I noticed that there was a lot of stuff there that we don't need or use . So I asked her and our two kids t help me organize a garage sale . We started with the stuff in the basement , but we didn't stop there because we all had clothes in our closets and other things around the house that we didn't need . Yesterday was the day of our sale , and when we got everything together , we noticed that there was no way to put it all in the garage . So , we got some tables and bookshelves and put some of the stuff sell , but the woman the backyard . Then a funny thing happened . One of the first people at our sale loved the wooden bookshelf we had in the yard and wanted to buy it . It wasn't one of the things we wanted was ready to pay a great price for it . So we put all of the things on the bookshelf in a box , and she paid us and left with our bookshelf . A short time after that , I looked up at the sky and noticed that there was some rain heading our way so we had to put everything in the garage . We had to hurry . After that , our things weren't very well organized and it wasn't easy to get in the garage because of all the stuff . But , in the end , the garage sale was a good thing . We got some money for the stuff we didn't need , and now we can buy some new stuff and have a place to put it.
