although avengers infinity war was pretty awesome, the best movie i watched last year has to be spider-man: into the spider-verse. I've waited so long to see anything related to multiple versions of different universes' spider-men on a movie screen, and even though it wasn't a full on live action movie, i think it was even better being an animation movie, since it could be so much closer to the actual comics drawings. And they translated so much about the spider-verse aspects so perfectly into that animation movie, it's unbelievable. Obviously they changed a lot of plot points from the original comics stories, but that's to be expected in movies, they can't do everything exactly the same as in comics, but the important thing is that they still managed to maintain the core aspects of each character they put into the movie. It was amazing seeing spider-gwen for the first time in a movie, and i heard they are planning on doing a spin-off with spider-gwen and silk (which they haven't introduced yet) and maybe others, that would be phenomenal, i can't wait for that and sequels to miles's movies. And to top it all off, the story they created in the movie... oh man, that was amazing, it had so much emotion, character building, and such a different take on the well-known peter parker/spider-man story, it really got you in your emotions, and made you appreciate so much more the effort and sacrifice these heroes have to make sometimes, and it was also just perfect the ending the peter parker from the other universe had with mary jane, that was a very touching moment. And those moments in the movie right after miles's universe spider-man/peter parker died... wow, they really made you feel the loss of him, and how much of a difference he made in that world
