1- He has a good opinion of Cromwell because examples like: "He was ordinary dressed" or "he has a great height"
2-His face was reddish, his voice was sharp and his linen was plain.
Seemed like Cromwell was a kind and normal person like the others puritans.
3-Well, we can't deduce his physical characteristics just in history... So, relates like that is very useful.
4-I think he was a hero because he never ever made a point of this title.
Task 1: puritan, catholics, MP, new model army, powerful, execution, treason, republicans, christmas, easter
Task 2:
1. Cromwell had struck the author with a good impression, for he had the ordinary looks and passion that were sought after by the Puritans.
2. "He was a good height, [...] his face was reddish and his voice was sharp and full of passion." Cromwell's description makes it clear that he was akin to his Puritan peers: he was nothing but a simple man who had the same aspirations and passion as everyone else.
3. Personally, I do not think of the author as a reliable source due to the similar ideals and beliefs of both men.
4. Puritans were evil. Their hatred for Catholics and the subsequent witch hunt that led to the persecution and death of thousands of women who simply dared to be themselves is an obvious proof that Cromwell, a firm believer of the Puritan ideals, could never be considered a hero.
