She was born in Pakistan in 1997 and has spent her life so far campaigning for girls to have the right to an education. Shortly after her eleventh birthday, she began writing an anonymous blog about for BBC Urdu, drawing attention to human rights issues that faced her, and many young girls like her, around the world.A lot of people didn’t want her to express her opinions about education for girls. At the age of 15, the Taliban made an assassination attempt in order to silence her ideas. They shot her.
