O texto fala sobre a Celebração do Ano Novo Chinês, que acontece em uma data diferente da nossa. A festa dura 15 dias e é comemorada em vários países do mundo para onde os chineses se mudaram. No início o festival tinha conotação religiosa, mas hoje as pessoas celebram para afastar o azar e desejar alegria, saúde e longevidade umas as outras. No festival há fogos de artifício, jantares em família, decorações e roupas típicas exuberantes.
