Mary ALWAYS wants to buy a Christmas present for a very special person, her mother. Mary's mother USUALLY gives her $5.00 a week pocket money and Mary NEVER forgets to put $2.00 a week into her piggy bank. After three months, Mary has enough money to buy the planned gift and takes $20.00 out of her piggy bank and goes to the shopping mall. She has NEVER bought something before by herself, so she decided to take her mother's friend with her, because she is very OFTEN in the mall. Suddenly she sees a beautiful brooch in the shape of her favorite pet. She says to herself, "My mother loves jewelry, and the brooch costs only $17.00." So, She buys the brooch and takes it home. She wraps the present in Christmas paper and places it under the tree. She is very excited and is looking forward to Christmas morning to see the joy on her mother's face.
