1. Read the examples below and, in your notebook, write down the correct option to
complete the statements about them.

• is happening now, at the present time,
happens occasionally,
b) The verbs in those sentences are in the Present Continuous. To form the Present
Continuous we use
• the verb to be in the infinitive + the main verb in the -ing form,
• the verb to be in the present (am/are/is) + the main verb in the -ing form.
