In the past few years, I have taken a very close look on the dynamic of video games itself. There are certain games that can kill creativity and there are many more games that enhance creativity. For those that say video games kill creativity, they are simply looking for a scapegoat. It is easy and convenient to find a scapegoat rather than take the time to carefully observe, analyze, and explore things. If they thought more about it, then the video games would not be used as a scapegoat for the lack of creativity, violence, and everything else.To have creativity, one has to have imagination. To tap into imagination, one has to be able to use critical thinking. To be able to use critical thinking, one has to be able to apply knowledge. To be able to play certain games, one needs to be able to implement critical thinking.From what I have seen, you have to have intelligence to play video games. Video games are completely different from film and TV. Perhaps video games are a universal medium that brings together other languages such as: mathematics, computer programming, Japanese anime, music, art, theatre, film and TV.
