That's actually pretty easy. Well if you want to know all the information below and you made no restrictions of how I can do them, all I got to do is straight up ask them.

So here we go:

At first you'd say "what's your name?" and "how are you?" Really good start, am I right?

Now, after having know him better it's time to go deep. We ask him if he got any hobbie, by doing so we kill two birds with one stone because we will know about his routine and his pasttime activities.

We keep going forward (going down the rabbit hole), we ask his favorite "stuff" because, well, we can get more than just his favorite food and movies. Now, not only we know a bunch a things he likes to do, to eat and also things that he avoid, we are closer to get more intimate.

We're going to ask about his place: Is it cool there, where you live? Where do live? What about the neighborhood?

Well, it's safe to say we went a long way and got to ask many questions about him. Empathy level between the two are high now, enjoy. And it just hit me, that was the objective all along.
