I am an art student and I am really struggling with this exercise.
Basically I have to illustrate a phrase and be creative ( I have to escape the stereotype)

The phrase is:

"I have a torn boot and the other one dances in the rain."


Please help me, I need help to understand exactly what does this even mean, because I know this must have a meaning beyond the literal but I can't figure it out yet.​

To me these things means: that a person has learned not to allow circumstances deter them reaching their full potential.
