Pelo enunciado, o objetivo é apenas não ser ofensivo e ajudar os personagens como se tu fosse amigo de ambos, então a resposta é meio pessoal, ok? Dai coloquei assim;

2 Don't try to change him, but encourage a healthy discussion. Don't put up fights.
3 Try spliting each others actvities.
4 Talk with him about your feelings, what you feel about the things he does and etc.
5 Your mother is very harsh with him sometimes...
6 Talk some sense into him, say that he's going to hurt someone once and it will hurt him back, but with no way to change it if he keep doing it.
