Explicação:

Na interrogativa coloca o "are" quando o sujeito é plural (we, josh AND mary) ou "is" quando é singular (I, You, Ana...) antes do sujeito. Na negativa não sei explicar muito bem, só colocar o "not" depois do verbo ( are, is...).
