Completando a segunda sentença, podemos tornar o significado dela igual ao da primeira sentença. Utilizando as palavras entre parênteses, temos as seguintes frases:

1) The city had such a great impression on them that they decided to extend their stay.

Explicações: Na (1), a impressão que a cidade causou foi ótima, por isso eles decidiram estender a estadia. Na (2), Lisa não conseguiria o emprego dos sonhos se ela não tivesse se mudado. Na (3), alguém havia limpado o quarto, pois ele estava limpo quando eu cheguei lá.

Na (4), localizar-se é algo difícil. Na (5), arte moderna não faz sentido e, em (6), a expressão "a piece of cake" significa "muito fácil" ("very easy").
