Hi, Emily!
How are you? Guess what? Kate and I walked 20 kilometers on Saturday. It was a sponsored walk to raise money for our local hospital. I started as 7:45 in the morning, I'm used to waking up these hours, so it was easy for me. I only stopped for twelve minutes for lunch. I finished at quarter to four. After me and Serena went to her house, her mother cooked for us. Then we watched a movie on tv. We were in bed by half past eight. Write to me soon.

No "I started [...]" imagino q tenha sido erro de digitação, mas no lugar do "as" seria 'at'... De resto, que eu tenha percebido/saiba não há nada de errado não.
