FUTURO COM GOING TO
A forma verbal going to indica uma ação no futuro, utilizamos para falar de eventos que temos cer-
teza que irão acontecer num futuro imediato, pois há evidências claras sobre isso, ou para expressar
planos e intenções. Para formar uma sentença no futuro, utiliza-se o verbo to be conjugado precedi-
do do going to mais o infinitivo do verbo. Observe os exemplos:
You are going to dance with Jane.
Você vai dançar com Jane.
I am going to travel to Porto Seguro tomorrow. (Eu vou viajar para Porto Seguro amanhã.)
In two weeks my classes are going to finish. (Em 2 semanas minhas aulas vão terminar.)
Billy is going to take the bus. (Billy vai tomar o ônibus.)
My friends are going to leave. (Meus amigos vão sair.)

Para escrever uma sentença negativa no Futuro com Going to utiliza-se o verbo to be conjugado no
presente, am/is/are, seguido da palavra not.
EXEMPLO:
I am not going to work. (Eu não vou trabalhar)
He is not going to sell the car. (Ele não vai vender o carro.)
The students are not going to travel to Campo Grande. (Os alunos não vão viajar para Campo Gran-
de.)

Para fazer uma pergunta com be going to, basta inverter a ordem entre o verbo to be e o sujeito da
frase:
Are they going to learn Spanish? (Eles vão aprender Espanhol?)
Are we going to buy a house? (Nós vamos comprar uma casa?)
