When you push, you are exerting a force that causes the object to move away from where you are, but when you pull, the force you make brings the object to where you are. Therefore, if it is a human body that is doing the work of pulling and pushing, then, however much there is no difference in the force that is exerted, but the conclusion that we can draw is that both pulling and pushing requires strength.
