Uma "question tag" é uma pergunta que na verdade serve para afirmar o que foi dito e existem regras a seguir:
Primeira Regra
Se a frase é uma sentença positiva a "Question tag" vai ser em NEGATIVO
EX: My sister is coming on Saturday. Isn't she?
Se a frase é uma sentença negativa a "Question tag" vai ser em POSITIVA
Exemplo
They will come tomorrow. Won't they?
Segunda Regra
Se a ação principal da frase contém o verbo TO BE, a QUESTION TAG é com o verbo TO BE, sempre seguindo a PRIMEIRA REGRA
Exemplo
It is raining, Isn't it?
They are nice people. Aren't they?
Terceira Regra
Se forma com o VERBO AUXILIAR em NEGATIVO o em POSITIVO (dependendo da primeira regra) VERBO AUXILIAR + o SUJEITO PRONOME
Exemplo
He can sing. Can't he?
Maria and John won't come. Will they?
Terceira Regra
Se o verbo principal da sentença não for um verbo auxiliar, a QUESTION TAG vai ser construida com o VERBO DO e suas variantes DOES para a terceira pessoa e DID para o PASSADO
Exemplo
They know the answer. Don't they?
He writes beautiful song! Doesn´t he?
Maria didn't come yesterday. Did she?
Quarta Regra
Os sujeitos da frase na QUESTION TAG são substitutos pela forma PRONOMINAL PESSOAL correspondente
Maria o qualquer nome feminino por "SHE"
Paul o qualquer nome masculino por "HE"
My friends, The childre, The doctors ou qualquer coletivo de pessoas, ou substantivos que se referem a pessoas em plural por "THEY"
Objetos materiais ou imateriais em singular por "IT", em plural por "THEY"

Maria plays soccer really well! Doesn't she?
Paul will come tomorrow. Won´t he?
My friends don´t like to dance.Do they?
The radio doesn´t work. Does it?
The Olympic Games start in June. Don't they?
