The first part of Endgame focuses on the consequences left by Thanos, which still profoundly affect the heroes who remained alive after the villain's fatal move. The film then, in its second half, addresses the mission of rescuing the rest of the team, turned to dust by the snap of fingers from the universe's most feared titan.
Thanos, who dominates much of Infinity War, appears again in Ultimatum, showing once again that the Avengers have never faced a threat like him, and that there is a reason to fear him. The character's approach, however, is different. We see a distinct side of Thanos, almost like another villain. The danger he presents to the world now is even greater than at the last meeting.
The feature also displays a different facet for each main team character. Highlighting Black Widow, which now boasts a complex depth, and a courage we haven't had a chance to see on screen before. It goes far beyond the fight scenes, which we all already know she performs to perfection.
Ant-Man and Hawkeye (or Ronin) gain the space needed to show off their skills this time around, making up for the absence in Infinity War. The characters engage in the central plot, and actively participate in the action scenes (which are not few).
