Explicação:
Na questão 1, aparecia "was" apenas quando a pessoa da frase estava no singular ( quando havia 1 só pessoa). Nos casos do "were", aparecia apenas quando a pessoa da frase estava no plural ( há excessões no caso do you ). Aqui abaixo vai uma tabela pra vc ter uma noção de quando usar:
