Ever since I was 9 years old, football has been my favorite sport. When we had our first practice, we had to run so much and, since it was my first year, I was out of shape from never doing it. I wanted to quit because it was so hard. Then, we had our first game, and I realized that I actually liked football a lot and didn’t want to quit at all! I really liked it. In football people always say that if you are bigger, you are better. I don’t believe that! When I was little, I was bigger than most kids, and there was a small kid half my size that hit me really hard! I couldn’t believe it!
That year we went like six and two and made it to the second round playoffs. We lost to Clarkston. For my first year, my team was pretty good and we also had a lot of good athletes. The following year, I ended up breaking my foot and was out the whole year! It was horrible!
After that, I was on Varsity and we won every game! We even went to the super bowl and lost the super bowl to the Clarkston Chiefs. I was a young player, so I got to play another year. Again, we were really good. We got a bunch of different players from everywhere, and we ended up winning every game. At the end of the season, we went down south to North Carolina for a tournament and we won all four games we played.
Football is my favorite sport. I just love the game and wearing the pads. Football has changed my life a lot. It teaches me how to stay in shape by working out. If you want to play high school football, you should start playing it as young as possible, so you can practice and learn how to tackle right and everything. That’s why football is my favorite sport and I will play it as long as I can.
