Simple past

O passado simples é um pouco mais fácil em alguns conceitos. Para todas as pessoas usará did para fazer a pergunta, e para negar usa-se did not para todas as pessoas também. Na frase afirmativa, há dois tipos de verbo, os regulares que tem término em ed/d e os irregulares que muda totalmente a escrita do verbo.

Exemplo de regular:

Presente: play passado: played

Irregular: do. Passado:did

Irregular keep. Passado: kept

Did you read the book?

Yes, i read the book.

No, i did not read the book.

Did he go to the movies?

Yes, he went to the movies

No, he did not go to the movies.
