Chess Boxing? Is it a sport?
It is a sport that combines two traditional pastimes: chess, a cerebral board game and boxing, a physical sport. It was invented by French comic book artist Enki Bilal in 1992 and has grown into a competitive sport.
The competitors fight in alternating rounds of chess and boxing. It must be really hard to think of strategies on a board game
after being punched on the head.
Chess boxing is particularly popular in Germany, the
United Kingdom, India and Russia.
