People who live in favelas are usually seen as “bad people” by the society, individuals that shouldn’t be trusted and shouldn’t have the same rights as everyone else. I believe this happens due to two factors : their financial condition and media

It’s not a new thing that rich individuals, or even the ones who have an average condition which allows them to have a decent life, are seen as “better” and more deserving of things... which sadly can explain why people in favela (who doesn’t have a similar condition) are usually seen as inferior

Also, if you get to notice, media only shows bad things happening in favelas, violence and drugs are the only subjects we get to know about. And I’m not saying that all the things listed above doesn’t happen, they are indeed true; but maybe if media showed how many kind and loving people also live there, the world and its population could be a lot better
