Discourse Markers

Read the following sentence taken from the first text on page 53.

"Education is not all about studying and getting good marks"

1. What idea does the word in bold express?

And is a discourse marker. We use discourse markers to show the relationship between phrases or sentences. They help us understand the connection between the ideas in a text.
