I have a just received your letter and postcarrds. Thank you very much. Really you are living in a wonderfull city.
I am glad to know that you are taking portuguese lessons before coming to Brazil in December. December is a cold month in England but it is very hot in Brazil.
Now let me tell you some news.
Last week we celebrated Jane´s birthday . She got many presents. There were many people at the party.
Susan is going to begin a new job as a nurse. She is very happy.
Tony is not living with us any more. He chenged his occupation and moved to Bahia. He has phoned us. It is all right with him. Now I must stop. Remember me to everybody. Love to you and to your family.

Dear Mrs. Sloan;

Thanks for the letter! I'm really excited to know more about Brazil and all it's culture. I have to say, portuguese is a hard language to learn. There are so many rules, verbs and pronouns!

It's great to hear that Tony is in Bahia, he has always wanted to live there. And tell Jane that I said hi! And tell Susan I said "Good Luck!".
