- Complete the sentences with the Simple Past or the present Perfect. (Complete as frases como Passado Simples ou o Presente Perfeito.)

Lembrem-se: O passado Simples é só o verbo no passado e o Presente Perfeito é HAS/HAVE+ o verbo principal no Participio Passado. Será Passado Simples quando tiver TEMPO DETERMINADO na frase, caso contrário, será Presente Perfeito.

Explicação:

have/has + particípio passado

She has found (ela achou um novo amor)

'find' é um verbo regular e há uma lista deles, ou seja, você acaba aprendendo pelo uso.

No exemplo, não há especificação de quando ela achou e por isso usa-se o present perfect, em vez do past simple.

Na 14 o verbo certo seria 'are', no presente simples.

My parents are at the theatre - meus pais estão no teatro.

Para usar o past simple, ficaria 'my parents WERE at the theatre', mas teria que haver uma menção de quando = my parents WERE at the theatre yesterday.

Para usar o present perfect, teríamos que ter o período de tempo até o presente 'my parents have been at the theatre since 7 p.m.' (meus pais estão no teatro desde às 7)

My parents have been at the theatre não existe. Deveria ser My parents have been TO the theatre - meus pais estiveram/foram ao teatro.

Se há apenas duas alternativas, usaremos have been.
