Regras para uso de Past Progressive ou  Past continuous

( é a mesma coisa )

1 → Actions were in progress at special time in the past

( ações continuadas num tempo especial no passado )

2 → Two actions were happening at the same time (the actions do not

influence each other)

( Duas ações estavam acontecendo ao mesmo tempo ( as ações não se

influenciam uma à outra )

3 → Together with the Simple Past

• The action in Simple Past interrupted the action in Past Progressive.

Usar juntamente com o Pretérito Perfeito ( Simple past )

• A ação no Simple Past interrompe a ação no Past Progressive.

→ regra geral para formar o simple past é :

" verbo no infinitivo + ed "
