Complete the sentences with the Past Continuousof the verbs.

I) While I (was taking) a shower, my cell phone rang. I asked my sister to answer it, but she didn’t hear me because she (was cleaning) the backyard.

II) When we (was coming) home from school this morning, we saw a sick dog near our house. I called home to ask for help, but no one answered. Our parents (were shopping) for food.

III) Last Thursday, while Janette ( was playing) soccer at school, she broke her leg and had to go to the hospital. The doctor said she was fine, but she (was crying) when her father arrived.

ESTÃO CORRETAS AS MINHAS RESPOSTAS?????

na sentença II) tem apenas um erro na conjugação do primeiro verbo, que é pra ser "we were coming", fora isso o resto está certo.

II - When we WERE coming home / Our parents were shopping.

III - While Janette was playing/ she was crying - OK!

Apenas preste atenção quanto ao uso de was com as pessoas I/he/she/it e WERE com as pessoas you/we/they.

Acredito que tenha sido a própria questão escrita assim, mas gostaria de destacar que while tem sentido de "enquanto". Sendo assim, normalmente se usam os dois verbos no past continuous. Seria mais apropriado o uso de when para indicar uma ação que ocorria continuamente quando outra a interrompeu.
