Explicação:
Dica: o pronome para se referir a um animal de estimação era “it”, ao invés de “he” ou “she”. Pois se essa é a forma gramaticalmente correta, na vida real mesmo todo mundo se refere aos seus animais por “he” ou “she”. E ainda se referem a cachorros de um modo geral por “he” (no caso de não saberem o sexo do cachorro de alguém, usam “he”) e se referem a gatos de um modo geral por “she” (mesmo caso).
