Como o trafico de escravos vinculava- se aos interesses políticos e controle da colonização por parte da Coroa portuguesa?

Devido às suas colonias na Africa, Portugal tinha um comercio baseado num triângulo, em que vendia escravos para o brasil, cana de açucar para Europa e produtos que as colonias necessitavam, já que eram proibidas de produzirem. 
Com isso Portugal ganhava dinheiro na venda da cana, na venda de produtos e também na venda de escravos.
