Bom, para fazer isso só precisa colocar o not depois do is, are, am, was, were.
He is not taking out a book.
I am not washing my hair.
The baby was not crying.
You were not listening to music.
The dog is not running after the cat.
She are not sitting in the chair.
My mum was not preparing lunch now.
Para colocar na interrogativa é só inverter a frase.
Was she sitting on the chair. Estava ela sentando na cadeira?
Were the students playing soccer. Estavam os estudantes jogando futebol?
Was my mum preparing lunch now? Estava minha mãe preparando o almoço agora?
Were you listening to music? Estava você escutando música?
