Paragraph 1: The wisest decision I've made in my life was to quit my dull job to have a gap year backpacking around the world. It happened a couple of years ago. However risky my decision was, I can't say that I regret it. During that year, I learnt a lot about myself and discovered some life skills I had no idea I had. Being able to let of that life-sucking job to do something completely different and daring - I had to do some really bad things while travelling, to make ends meet - is certainly one of the most important milestone in my life so far.
Paragraph 2: In my opinion, having a lot of money does not equal being happy. It is not unheard of successful, rich businessmen and women who let go of their high paying jobs to pursue whatever it was that brought them real joy. Making a lot of money never led them to being happy, it only made them be rich people with miserable lives. As a matter of fact, I believe that the people who still think that being happy is linked to the amount of money they make a year are too blinded by our capitalist system to realise that money is what we need to survive but not really what makes us happy.
