1 → Mike was my neighbor.

Mike Was not my neighbor.

(Mike não era meu vizinho).

2 → The Browns were home last night.

The Browns were not home last night.

( Os Browns não estavam em casa na noite passada).

3 → She was sick in the bed.

She was not sick in the bed.

( Ela não estava doente na cama).

4 → My name is Tom.

My name is not Tom.

( Meu nome não é Tom).

5 → Linda is ugly.

Linda is not ugly.

( Linda não é feia ).

Lembrando que podemos usar a forma abreviada:

Was + not → Wasn't

Were + not → Weren't

is + not → Isn't

are + not → aren't

etc..
