a) $(-2)^{3} -3^{-1}=\ \textgreater \ -8- \frac{1}{3}=\ \textgreater \ -\frac{24-1}{3} =\ \textgreater \ -\frac{23}{3}$

b)$5+ \frac{1}{5} +\frac{1}{25} =\ \textgreater \ \frac{125+5+1}{25}=\ \textgreater \ \frac{131}{25}$

c)$\frac{2+ \frac{1}{2} }{3- \frac{1}{3} } =\ \textgreater \ \frac{ \frac{4+1}{2}}{ \frac{9-1}{3} }=\ \textgreater \ \frac{3(4+1)}{2(9-1)}=\ \textgreater \ \frac{15}{16}$

d)$\frac{1}{2}^{-1}+ \frac{1}{2}^{-2}=\ \textgreater \ 2^{1}+ 2^{2}=\ \textgreater \ 6$
