O "Are" vem na frente por se tratar do verbo to be, um dos verbos que permanece na frente quando em uma pergunta.

Por exemplo: Can. Também é uma verbo que não usa Do para fazer uma pergunta.

✅2) 1 – I am a student of this teacher.

2 – You are my best friend.

3 – He is a writer.

4 – We are talking about this.

5 – They are huge. ✅

( 1 – Eu sou um aluno dessa professora.

2 – Você é meu melhor amigo.

3 – Ele é um escritor.

4 – Nós estamos falando sobre isso.

Nessas frases o Verbo to Be está em sua forma "normal" (sem contrações).

Por ser o verbo To Be não se usa o Don't para dizer que "Não fez algo", usa-se somente o not. Lembrando que há outros verbos que seguem essas regras, por exemplo o verbo Can.
