Olá! Infelizmente para responder a letra A) aparentemente é necessário ler um texto, então não vou conseguir responde-la, mas posso ajudar com as seguintes.
B) 1- I was going to make a cake, but I was too tired.
2- They were going to buy a house, but it was too expensive.
3- We were going to wait for you, but we coudn't.
4- She was going to travel by plane, but she had no money.
O verbo auxiliar usado nas frases é o verbo to be no passado - was, were.
Como já há um verbo no passado, não é necessário colocar o verbo principal na segunda forma.

5) My boyfriend --- in front of my house. ---> My boyfriend was standing in front of my house.
