Mathematics is very important for the scientific development of humanity. Mathematics presents as bases for calculations through four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

That's why we started with these operations for after learning even more abstract concepts like square root, area calculus and that are used in other exact sciences such as physics, chemistry and so on.

In Antiquity, the mathematical and philosophical teachings were highly esteemed by Greek teachers, which facilitated inventions such as the pulley and levers of Archimedes.
