Lingua franca or contact language is the language that a developing group of human beings intentionally adopts or has developed so that everyone can systematically communicate with each other. [1] [2] [3] This language is generally different from all natural languages spoken by members of the group. [4] Frankish languages have emerged throughout human history, sometimes for commercial reasons, sometimes for reasons of diplomatic or administrative convenience and a resource that enables the exchange of information between scientists and other scholars of different nationalities. The word language here should not, however, be interpreted as necessarily a natural language (strict concept), but rather like any language (as a sign-based communication system). In other words: a lingua franca may either be a natural language or an artificial language, and in both cases it may or may not be formal, that is, it may or may not have a grammar, a predefined set of rules, etc.
