it's a day of giving thanks for all the good things you have; some families may not have money for a big meal during the holidays. other people don't have family and friends to share it with. that's why many people help others in need during the holiday season! it's also a positive and secular holiday where they celebrate gratitude, something that we don't do enough of these days. It's also a celebration of the fall harvest. the celebration began with the pilgrims, who in 1621 called it their “first thanksgiving.”

Thanksgiving is a day to help others and be thankful/grateful because at this moment people realize how social inequality has affected some people more than others, something expressed in a day fulfilled with good food and gifts to some families, while others are just poor, not even having a way to share eating with their loved ones.
