Afirmativa: Sujeito + verbo to be (simple past) + verbo Pincipal com "ing"

I was playing tennis last Sunday.
You were listening to music when I visited you.
Martha was studying in the library.
Peter was planting a tree in his garden.
We were singing very well until you arrive.
John and Mary were having a tea.
That dog was drinking water.
John and you were crying because you have lost the match.
They were swimming very fast.
My mother was telling me a beautiful story. 

Negativa
Sujeito + forma negativa do verbo to be (simple past) + verbo Pincipal com "ing"

She wasn´t crying because of that !
John wasn´t studying at home.
She wasn't carrying her bags.
They weren't playing XBOX.
He wasn´t playing very well but he won the match.
We weren't going to the doctor. 
Senna wasn't driving very fast.
Your son wasn´t eating very weel.
I wasn't playing the piano.
They weren't leaving at that moment.
