Para você transformar um verbo que esteja no presente para o passado, basta você acrescentar ED ou IED, exemplos:
- Presente: I die (Eu morro), Passado: I died (Eu morri)
- Presente: I discover (Eu descubro), Passado: I discovered
Como você pôde ver, apenas acrescentei ED no final.
Mas existem alguns verbos que não seguem essa regra, um dos exemplos é o verbo to Get e to be, que a sua forma no passado é irregular: Got e was.
Ai você precisaria ter que decorar esses verbos, mas relaxa, são poucos =)
