⟩⟩ No “Simple Past” para se formar sentenças com os verbos regulares é importante saber que eles são verbos que seguem regras, essas regras são feitas com terminações que são adicionadas ao fim dos verbos, as terminações são 'ed' 'ied' 'd', as regras básicas são.

• Se o verbo termina em consoante -y. Retira-se o -y e acrescenta-se -ied:

- Study – studied.

- Try – tried.

• Se o verbo termina em -e, acrescenta-se apenas -d:

- Live – lived.

- Like – liked.

• Nos verbos que possuem a sílaba final tônica (de uma a duas sílabas) e são terminados em consoante + vogal + consoante (CVC), dobra-se a última consoante e acrescenta-se  -ed:

- Drop – dropped.

- Prefer – preferred.

⟩⟩ Para se fazer frases negativas acrescenta-se o 'not' após o verbo principal da frase junto ao verbo auxiliar 'did' e se o verbo principal estiver no passado ele fica no infinitivo sem o partícula 'to'.
