De acordo com as regras de voz passiva e voz ativa, em inglês, as frases devem ficar da seguinte maneira:

1) A new road near my house is being planned by the Government.

2) This house was built by my grandfather in 1943.

3) Guernica was painted by Picasso at that time.

4) The office had been cleaned by the cleaner.

5) Three books had been written by him before 1867.

6) You will be told by John later.

7) The deal will have been signed by us this time tomorrow.

8) The work should be done. (by someone)

9) Jimmy might have been delayed by the traffic.

10) Portuguese is spoken by people in Brazil.

A voz passiva é utilizada para chamar mais atenção para o objeto que sofre a ação, e não para o sujeito. Ela é mais comum na escrita, e não é tão utilizada nos diálogos cotidianos.

Para realizar a transição da voz ativa para voz passiva o objeto da voz ativa deve assumir papel de sujeito da voz passiva.

O primeiro passo é identificar o objeto. O segundo passo é reconhecer a forma do verbo principal. O terceiro passo é adicionar o particípio passado do verbo principal.
