The biggest challenges big cities can face is natural disasters.

Often we watch on the news cases where a whole city would be flooded or some areas would have been destroyed due to a storm, or even the discomfort generate by heat waves.

It is because those cities weren't planned to deal with these situations, in some cases there's no runoff for water, some houses are built next to rivers and so on. That's why it is important to plan before cut down thousands of trees to build houses, companies or even cities. It is important to consult a environmental engineer to see the risks and get to know what can be done to minimize it.
