1) Rewrite the paragraph below using pronouns in the place of the underlined words to avoid repetition.
Jack and Liz are old friends; (jack and Liz ) met in elementary school many years ago. jack is in love with Liz, so (jack) wants to propose to (Liz). Liz likes jack as a friend, but (Liz) doesn't think of (jack) as a boyfriend. We know that, if Lis says "no" to jack, (jack) will be devastated. but jack didi not ask (mary and me) what your opinion was, so there is nothing mary and i can do to help.
