I was on holiday in Istanbul and it was fantastic. There were lots of places to go and lots
of things to buy. My favourite place was Misir Çarsisi the Spice Market. There were lots
of spices, dried fruits, nuts and lokum: Turkish Delight. I was there in the afternoon and
it was very noisy. There were lots of people and it was very busy. Getting around wasn’t
good. The traffic was awful and the taxis weren’t cheap but it wasn’t a problem as our
hotel was five minutes from the centre and it was easy to walk to different places.
