Cesar Cielo began to practice still young and got winnings in local championships. In 2006, Cielo moved to United States where got a scholarship as a athlete in a university. In The Pan American Games of 2007, he winned three gold medals and one silver medal. Futhermore, Cesar Cielo broke the record olympic in Beijing Olympics of 2008 completing the 50 meters freestyle in 21s30.
