Explicação: neste exercício observamos a presença do Simple Present em que é necessário saber os verbos to be (pronomes no inglês):

I am (eu sou)

You are (você é)

He is (ele é)

She is (ela é)

It is (não há uma tradução correta; usado para objetos, animais etc- é)

We are (nós somos)

You are (vocês são)  

They are (eles/elas são)

Também é prescindível o conhecimento dos verbos nesse tempo verbal, em que para os sujeitos I, you, we, They o verbo se mantem em sua forma natural, mas ao aplicarmos eles nos sujeitos he, she e it precisamos acrescentar um “s” no final do verbo, assim como podemos observar nesse trecho do exercício:

I play volleyball and tennis.  

My brother plays football. (neste caso “my brother/meu irmão” é “he/ele”, então devemos acrescenta o “s” no final o verbo).
