O passado simples formamos da seguinte forma:

COM VERBO TO BE:
Is/am ⇒ was
Are ⇒ Were

VERBOS COMUNS:
Verbos regulares ⇒ Adicionamos ED no final da palavra
Verbos irregulares ⇒ Se transformam (você tem que checar em alguma lista de verbos irregulares)

a) I am very well.
    I was very well.

b) She is my teacher.
    She was my teacher.

c) You have many friends.
    You had many friends.

d) They have a lot of money.
They had a lot of money.

e) They are late.
    They were late.

Usamos "much" para coisas incontáveis, por exemplo, "quanto dinheiro você tem?", enquanto "many" para coisas contáveis: "quantas crianças você adotou?".

a) How many books have you? (não seria "do you have"?)
b) Have you much money?
c) Is there much water in the cup?
d) There are many eggs in there frigerador.
e) Were there many books on the table.
f) There was not much time to study.
g) How many people can you see?
h) How much coffee is there in the cup?
